Home / How It Works
The process
You know the number before you start.
Here is exactly what happens, in order, from the minute you send the briefing. No discovery call you have to sit through, and no number you have to ask for.
You send the briefing
What you do, where you work, what you have online now, and what happens today when somebody wants a price. Five minutes. No call, no card, no account to create.
Costs you: five minutesI read it and reply the same day
Not a form letter. I look at your Facebook page or your current site first, then answer about your job: what I would build, what it would do, and what it costs. If it is not a fit I say that instead, and tell you what to do about it.
Costs you: nothingIf it is a fit, you get the agreement
The price is already on this site, so there is no reveal: $2,500, and what is in it. The agreement and how to pay come in that same reply, along with the full details document so I can collect your photos, your words and your service list properly.
Costs you: nothing to find outYou complete the onboarding document
$625 to get started, then 25% a month for three months. The two days go in the calendar when the document is finished, not before: your photos, your words, your service list, any logins. That is the whole trick. The slow part of a website is never the building, it is waiting on material, so the date does not get set until there is nothing left to wait on.
This is the part you pay forTwo days, and it is live
Day one I build it. Day two you get a video walking you through it, we spend the day on your changes, and it goes live: full site, quote form wired to your phone and email, click to call, tracking on, hooked to your domain.
Included in the priceYou get the keys
You own the domain and the files. I show you how to change text, prices and photos yourself. Two weeks of support after launch, and $100 a month after that only if you want me keeping it running. If you ever leave, I help you move.
Costs you: nothing extraWhat we need from you
The slow part is never us. It's waiting on material.
So here is the whole list up front. Gather it while you're thinking about it and this moves twice as fast.
Photos of real work
Phone photos are fine. Better than stock, actually. Ten to twenty good ones covers most sites. Before-and-afters are gold.
Your service list
What you do, what you don't, and what you'd rather do more of. A voice memo works if typing isn't your thing.
Service area
Towns and counties you'll drive to, and how far is too far.
Logo and domain
If you have them. If you don't, we'll sort both out. It isn't a holdup.
Where reviews live
Google, Facebook, wherever. We pull the best ones onto the site.
Where leads should go
Which phone gets the text, which inbox gets the email, and who answers when you're on a machine.
Fair questions
The stuff people ask on the first call.
What does it cost?
$2,500 for a six-page contractor site, built in two days, plus $100 a month for hosting and upkeep. You can pay 25% up front and the rest over three months, which means your site is live and taking calls before you’ve finished paying for it. Extra pages, Google Business setup and branding are priced separately and listed on the services page. Every number is on this page before you agree to it.
What if I’m not ready by my build day?
You won’t be, because you don’t pick the day until you’re ready. Once you’re signed up I send you one page of prompts and a spot to drop your photos. When that’s done, a calendar opens up and you pick your day. Nobody’s chasing you, and you’re not sitting on a date you have to move. Take two weeks or take two months, it’s your call and the price doesn’t change.
What if I don’t like something you built?
You’ll see the whole site around 3pm on build day and we spend the rest of the afternoon changing whatever you want. You type your changes into a shared document and I work through them before it goes live. That’s the window, it’s when I’m sitting there with your site open and can turn changes around in minutes instead of days. After launch, small stuff is covered by the monthly plan, and anything bigger I’ll quote you first.
I don’t have time to write all the words for my website.
Nobody does. You don’t have to type anything. I’ll send you a handful of questions, what you do, who you do it for, why people call you instead of the other guy. Talk it out into your phone, text me the voice memos, and I’ll turn it into the copy. You read it over before build day and tell me what’s wrong.
Am I locked into a contract?
No long-term contract for the build. Monthly hosting and support is month to month. Cancel whenever and we hand over your files.
What if I need changes later?
Small text and photo changes you can do yourself, and it is built that way on purpose. Anything bigger, call and I will price it. After the two week support window that work is billed hourly, which is on the page above so it is never a surprise.
Do you work with contractors outside Indiana?
Yes, across the Midwest, and further if the fit is right. Almost all of this happens over the phone and by text. What matters more than the drive is that we already understand your trade and your season.
Can you help with my Google listing and reviews?
Yes, and for a lot of local businesses that's the highest-return hour we'll spend. Ask about it.
What happens to my current site?
It stays up until the new one is ready and tested. We switch it over at a time you pick, and old page links get pointed to the right new pages so you don't lose your search traffic.
In the contract, not just on the website
Six things we put in writing.
Anyone can promise good service on a homepage. These are clauses in the agreement you would actually sign.
Two weeks of support after launch
If we do not resolve a defect or a small change within 48 business hours of written notice, that work is not charged. Not discounted. Not charged.
Money back for every day late
If a defect stays unresolved past that window, you get a credit of 1/20th of the monthly fee for each additional business day, up to the entire month.
You own it once it’s paid
Full rights to the finished site transfer to you on final payment. Domain and hosting accounts are in your name from the start.
Nothing is held hostage
We will not hold a domain, data or customer records over a billing dispute. It is a sentence in the contract because it needs to be.
Leave on 30 days’ notice
Monthly services are month to month. Within 15 business days of leaving you get your files, database, domain and a clean export of your data.
No promised lead counts
We build to convert and we are good at it, but the contract does not guarantee a number of leads or a revenue figure. Anyone who guarantees that is guessing.
Third-party costs pass through at cost with no markup, and there is a 30-day warranty after launch whether or not you keep us on. Ask for the agreement before you commit to anything.
Summarised in plain language. The signed agreement is what governs, and its exclusions apply, including for outages and failures at hosting, form, payment or domain providers.
The price is on the page for a reason.
$2,500 flat, $625 to get started, and the two days are yours as soon as your material is in.
